Of course, designers always try to come up with something unique and different, which these extremely high-waisted pants definitely are. In fact, the slim style on the left seen below isn’t all that bad and can be found at ShopBop. The horrid jumpsuit on the right may be found at Urban Outfitters (I think they belong in the “garbage outfitters.”) However, when I look at these two photos, there is one image that I cannot “unsee.” Below the models, there is a photo from People of Wal-Mart. This was a song written and performed by the Hoosier Hot Shots way back in the Vaudeville days. I came across this song and video when reading my nightly dose of Oddee and just got a kick out of it.  The video is a copy of an old 8mm film produced by Castle Films called “About Bananas” that looks like an educational film about bananas. In response to the criticism surrounding “Blurred Lines,” an Auckland University student group, the Law Revue Girls, created “Defined Lines.” The parody reverses the original video’s gender roles, and rather than beautiful sexy women catering to men’s desires, it features hunky men catering to attractive women.  “Blurred Lines” has received all types of criticism from feminist groups all over the globe. Talk about a kick-in-the-butt… or more realistically, a puck-in-the-butt. When Coyotes goalie Mike Smith was protecting his own net, the puck flew up in the air and dropped behind Smith – more like in his behind. What the goalie didn’t realize was that the puck dropped in his pant’s waistband just above his behind. Then when Smith turned and backed up into his net to protect it, he carried the puck in with him. The referees counted it as a goal as it passed the line into the net. Because they could? They wanted to be on a viral Youtube video? Protesting Taiwanese duck dishes? This video “quacks” me up! No one knows why 100,000 ducks wanted to cross, or go down the road in Nakhon Pathom, Thailand, which is about an hour west of Bangkok.  An estimated 100,000 ducks landed and took over the rural road in the Bang Len district. Below is a video taken by Jack Saranthat as he was en route to work. He was suddenly forced to bring his car to a halt while the ducks took command of the road.
